On June 28th, our very own ND, Amos Kiyingi and Programs Associate, Maxwell Akandwanaho, had the honour of attending the U.S. Mission Uganda’s #July4th (America’s Independence Day) Celebrations at the U.S. Embassy in Kampala.
Representing two U.S. exchange programs, Amos Kiyingi as an alumnus of the Obama Foundation and Mandela Washington Fellowship (MWF) and Maxwell Akandwanaho from the YALI Regional Leadership Center (RLC) East Africa, they embodied the event’s powerful theme of the #SpiritOfVolunteerism.
Earlier in day, the pair joined other invited mentors and visited St. Peter’s Secondary School – Nsambya, where they shared about Uganda Unites’ work, and inspired students through conversations on leadership, personal growth, and the power of education.
